Travel Vaccinations
We are a Yellow Fever Centre and can offer this to anyone - you do not need to be registered with the practice to receive this.
All other travel advice and vaccinations are only available to our registered patients. If you require any vaccinations relating to foreign travel you need to complete the questionnaire below and submit it to us 5-6 weeks before your travel date. One of our practice nurses will contact you within 2 working days to discuss your travel arrangements. Although the form has some mandatory fields you should complete as much as you can, including which countries and areas within countries that you are visiting to help the nurses determine what vaccinations are required.
There is further information about countries and vaccinations required on the links below.
As stated above, it is important to submit your questionnaire as early as possible, 5-6 weeks before you travel, as a second appointment may be required with the practice nurse to a receive some or all of the vaccinations. Some of these vaccines have to be ordered as they are not a stock vaccine. Your second appointment needs to be at least 2 weeks before you travel to allow the vaccines to work.
Some travel vaccines are ordered on a private prescription and these incur a charge over and above the normal prescription charge. This is because not all travel vaccinations are included in the services provided by the NHS.
Travel Health Questionnaire
To help us offer the appropriate advice, please fill out the online form and submit it to the surgery. You will receive an e-mail confirming receipt. One of our nurses will review the form and contact you to discuss your travel arrangements and make the necessary appointment(s) to provide the vaccinations. NB. that we may not be able to offer this service if you contact us too close to your travel dates and you may be referred to an alternative travel clinic.
