Dr Georgie Calvert (Female) – Dr Calvert will become a salaried GP from mid-June working Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Dr Calvert will be sharing Dr Pugsley’s patient list as Dr Pugsley’s time is often taken up by being the Clinical Director of the local Primary Care Network.
The online prescriptions service has changed. Please see below.
Patients on long-term medicaition can order repeat prescriptons in a number of ways:
You can now submit a request for your Repeat Medication. This service, which is available through Patient Access allows you to view all the items in your repeat medication list and select the ones you wish to request.
It's very important that only genuine patients are granted online access. The best way we can ensure this is to issue patients with a Registration Letter, which you must collect in person from your practice, please bring in 2 forms of ID and complete an application form. You cannot order repeat prescriptions online without one.
You can now select the pharmacy you wish your presciptions to go to. This service works for all repeat prescriptions including internet, postal or those brought by hand or by your pharmacy repeat collection service. To use this service please complete the form available in surgery or as a download by clicking on the link below. Note that any prescriptions ordered where we do not have a Choice Form will be kept at reception and not passed to a pharmacy on an ad-hoc basis.

Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification will either appear on your repeat slip or we will write to you or ring you. Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
Extensive exemption and remission arrangements protect those likely to have difficulty in paying charges (NHS prescription and dental charges, optical and hospital travel costs). The NHS prescription charge is a flat-rate amount which successive Governments have thought it reasonable to charge for those who can afford to pay for their medicines. Prescription prepayment certificates (PPCs) offer real savings for people who need extensive medication.
These charges apply in England only. In Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales prescriptions are free of charge.
If you will have to pay for four or more prescription items in three months, or more than 12 items in 12 months, you may find it cheaper to buy a PPC.

Please allow 48 hours, excluding weekends and Bank Holidays, for your request to be processed. Any problems please telephone the surgery. NB. Prescriptions will not be sent to a pharmacy unless you have previously completed a pharmacy choice form.
